Welcome to PCCM Reports
We are proud to announce the official launch of PCCM Reports, an independent, open-access, peer-reviewed digital journal dedicated entirely to showcasing the clinical and scholarly work of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellows.
Volume 1 (2026) — Continuous Publication
PCCM Reports operates on a rolling, continuous publication model. Rather than waiting for traditional quarterly issues, accepted manuscripts are finalized, assigned a unique citation tracking ID, and published online immediately to ensure rapid visibility for trainee research.
📢 Call for Submissions: Feature Your Work
Are you a PCCM fellow with a scientifically sound research project, an insightful quality improvement loop, or a unique ICU case report that didn’t find a home in high-impact national journals?
We believe that high-quality trainee data and valuable clinical teaching points deserve to be preserved in the scholarly medical record rather than gathering digital dust. We are actively inviting submissions for our inaugural volume across the following tracks:
- Original Research & Brief Reports: Retrospective chart reviews, prospective observations, or clinical pilot data.
- Clinical Vignettes (Case Reports): High-yield, rare, or complex critical care presentations offering a clear educational takeaway for fellows.
- Quality Improvement (QI) Projects: Trainee-led protocol implementations, unit safety loops, or multidisciplinary GME initiatives.
All submissions undergo a rigorous, double-blind peer-review process by expert PCCM faculty to ensure academic rigor and constructive feedback. Authors retain full copyright of their work under a Creative Commons open-access framework.
